Event Information

STRESSBUSTER Base Pass:

Please download, print and complete the STRESSBUSTER Base Pass which MUST BE DISPLAYED in the left corner of your windshield for access to Ft. Story Base.

BASE ACCESS PASS IS VALID FOR SEPTEMBER 29, 2007 ONLY

Due to heightened security, ALL PASSENGERS (over age 16) MUST HAVE PICTURE ID to enter base!

Please have PICTURE ID ready at the gate

Race Course:

The Carter Gunn Memorial STRESSBUSTER 8k is an 8k Cross Country race along historic, scenic & rolling trails and dunes, starting at First Landing Road at Fort Story. The race will be ChampionChip Timed. The 8k starts at 9:00am, with the children's tot trot starting at 10:15 near the race finish line.

Parking:

To obtain access to Fort Story, you must enter through the East Gate of Fort Story located on Atlantic Avenue (Near the intersection of Shore Drive and Atlantic Avenue). Runners may wish to park at the Fort Story Recreation Center adjacent to the Cape Henry Memorial.

Please arrive early as security checks will be carried out at the East Gate entrance.

Awards:

Awards ceremony will start at 11:00a.m. located at the race site. There will be plenty of food and drink. Door prizes will be raffled off at this time. Children will receive finisher prizes.

Age Groups:

Top three Male & Female Overall, Top three Male & Female Masters, Top three Male & Female Walkers and Top three Male & Female in each age group will receive an award. Age group awards are for the run only. 16 and Under, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and over. First Place Overall Male & Female and First Place Overall Male & Female Masters.
